Casey Murphy, M.D.
Born and raised in Kenner, LA, Dr. Murphy earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with
honors from LSU in Baton Rouge and attended LSU Medical School.
He completed his residency and was selected as the Chief Resident of the LSU Physical Medicine &
Rehabilitation program. During residency, he was nominated for Resident of the Year
and selected as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society.
After being selected as Chief Fellow, he completed an ACGME accredited LSU Interventional
Pain Medicine Fellowship.
He is ABMS double-board certified in Pain Medicine as well as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He is a Professor at LSU and Tulane Medical Schools
When not treating patients in Baton Rouge, he is teaching and training the future pain physicians of
Louisiana.
He is an active member and fellow of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (D.A.A.P.M.) and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (F.A.A.P.M.R.).
In his personal life, Dr. Murphy is married and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family and fishing.
